Social media channels showing a different side to North Korea, aiming to expand the narrative.
This includes a YouTube where I make vlogs in and about North Korea, a podcast discussing North Korea and North Korea travel-related issues, as well as social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok with images and informal short-form videos.
Social Media
I operate multiple social media channels and platforms that are foused on North Korea and North Korea travel.
They are operated solely by me and are not influenced by any outside powers. I decide what goes on my own social media.
Politics.
I remain strictly a-political on these channels.
Talking politics is for the media. I try to show a different side and expand the media narrative away from rockets and dictators to people and culture. I show the daily life of North Korea as I see it over several years and 30+ trips working in North Korea as a tour guide.
The media shows one side. I show another.
Hopefully now, you can begin to form a fuller picture.
“I really look with commiseration over the great body of my fellow citizens who, reading newspapers, live and die in the belief that they have known something of what has been passing in their times.”
– Thomas Jefferson
Government Affiliation
I am not and never have been affiliated in any capacity with the North Korean government. The North Koreans featured in my videos are professional tour guides working for the travel company we partner with and are not government workers.
Selfcensorship
I self-censor my content.
I want to keep going to North Korea and making this content.
